2008 Elections for the Board of Directors

Region 6
AR, LA, NM, OK, TX

The National Council is holding elections to fill one seat in Region 6.

There are two directors from each region serving on the National Council Board of Directors. Al Forsten, board member of the MHMR Authority of Harris County (Houston, TX) has served one term as regional representative to the Board, and while eligible, has decided not to run for re-election. Al has been an outstanding leader on the Board and we are sad to lose him. Elections are being held to fill this seat.

The other director from Region 6 and chair of the Regional Nominating Committee is Pete Kennemer, Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center (Fort Smith, AR), kennemer@wacgc.org.

Per the National Council bylaws, the two directors from each region shall be affiliated with National Council voting members and should be, but are not required to be, located in different states within the respective region.
